Carpet Cleaning

cleaner doing carpet cleaning
We often take our carpets for granted, yet when you think about it, they experience more abuse and wear & tear than maybe any other part of our home or business. Constant traffic, muddy shoes, pets, children, and germs and bacteria all take their daily toll out of the carpets in our lives. There are lots of carpet cleaning companies out there, and there are lots of DIY options available too, but we believe our experienced and professional service is second to none.

The Basic Process
We normally follow a 4-step process when it comes to carpet cleaning:

  • First we thoroughly vacuum your carpets. You’d be surprised the amount of debris that gathers deep in your carpet but we aim to remove any soil or similar with this step as it is not soluble in water. Soil can also cause a lot of damage to your carpet by scratching the fibers which makes the carpet look dull.
  • After we have vacuumed, we pre-condition your carpet with alkaline sprays which will loosen any remaining soil, oil, grease, etc. This neutralizes their acidic nature and makes them easier to remove.
  • We next identify any particular stubborn stains and spots on your carpet and pre-spot them.
  • The final stage in this process is hot water extraction. This is where the real hard work begins and our professional technician uses high-quality materials and equipment to completely remove any used solutions and remaining soil and other debris from the surface. This leaves your carpet clean and fresh and free of all soil, grease, etc.

Post-Treatment Protection
Ideally, you want to reduce the periods between needing an intensive cleaning. The best way to achieve that is to apply carpet protectants once the cleaning process is completed. This will keep your carpet cleaner and fresher for longer and is highly recommended by all the major carpet manufacturers.

Pets
We all love our four-legged friends, but the sad fact is that they usually leave some sort of smell behind, whether from urine or wet fur. Carpets absorb these odors and urine can cause real damage to the fibers too. When urine evaporates, it leaves behind crystals and that odor can be reactivated when there is high humidity or other moisture present. Our technicians can identify areas affected by urine using UV light and a special moisture meter. We can then use specialist products to remove any stains and odors.

Not Just Carpets
We often don’t realize that our furniture and upholstery take almost as much damage as our carpets do. Dust, dirt, food particles, pets, even dead skin cells contribute to making that comfy sofa a little less than fresh. So if you are considering having your carpets cleaned, why not get your furniture and upholstery freshened up at the same time? Our professional cleaners have lots of experience in bringing your favorite furniture back to life and we can clean all types of fabrics. If you are giving that room a new, fresh feel, why only do half the job?
